As soon as I read about the Altenew June challenge it spoke to me, and I just made my card in time.
Here is the inspiration photo:
And here is my card:
I first of all used my Misti to stamp my sentiment so that I could ensure a crisp black image. Then I stamped the painted flowers in hero arts soft yellow ink – although it’s difficult to photo I used the same colour for the second layer too but I stamped it three times so that there is a darker inside but yet the whole look remains soft. I stamped the leaves with hero arts green hills ink and the darker sections with evergreen bough distress ink. Then I stamped all the outlines in hero arts black India ink. I have a limited supply of inks so you have to get a bit creative sometimes. Next I fussy cut round my stamped piece and made it into a tag.
I die cut a stitched rectangle out of vellum and took one of the outline stamps from the set, stamped it all over using versamark ink and heat embossed these images using hero arts satin pearl powder. I love this step as it adds a special yet subtle interest to the card. I added some wink of Stella on my inked images for some soft shimmer too. I finished the card off with some soft green and yellow sequins.
Please let me know what you think.
