Hey everyone, hope you are having a great day! As part of the 30 day colouring challenge I decided to try something new to me. I have seen fab videos of loose watercolouring where you use watercolour markers direct to a stamp, spritz it with water and press down onto watercolour card. I did it a bit different. I don’t have watercolour markers so I used my mini distress ink cubes (worn lipstick, mowed lawn, seedless preserves, evergreen bough) and pressed these directly onto my stamps. Then I did a wash of water direct to my paper and pressed the stamp onto it. As you can see by the two cards I put too much water on the second one hence the blooms of colour. I really enjoyed making these and will definitely try again. I used an image and the sentiments all from the same set by Simon Says Stamp called HANDWRITTEN FLORAL GREETINGS.
I have entered both these cards into the Simon says stamp flickr challenge 50 – anything goes
and the first card into Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge – anything goes
