Hello This month at The Flower Challenge we challenge you to focus on background stamping. I created my own patterned paper by using a new to me stamp Anna’s Flora by Winnie and Walter and did easy copic colouring, leaving a white highlight for a more graphic style. The heat embossed sentiment is by Simon Says Stamp spiritual sentiments. There is a prize this month too so go check out the The Flower Challenge for more details.

Dot Colouring practice | SSS May Card Kit
Hi friends Today I took some time to play with the Simon Says Stamp May card kit which I absolutely love. The beautiful pattern papers and the floral stamp set are truly a joy for me and make creating so easy. Over on Instagram one of the talented card makers that I follow is Alex Syberia and she has been challenging us to dot colouring with our alcohol markers. So today’s card is totally out of my comfort zone and using a technique that I obviously need a lot more practice with, but I am really excited to keep working with this technique as I absolutely love Alex’s cards. WCMD baby card with oxide ink blending
Hi friends It is currently at card making week at Winnie and Walter and there are lots and lots of fun challenges. So I die…

The Flower Challenge Reminder: One Layer Card
Hi friends It’s that point in the month, it’s reminder time! The theme this month for The Flower Challenge is One Layer Card Here’s how I made my card: 1) use a stamping tool if you have one to stamp Pinkfresh Studio Always Flowers in copic friendly black ink such as memento tuxedo black 2) stamp the four corners and then create a mask so that you can stamp the larger border stamp in the middle in the same black ink 3) stamp your sentiment in the centre, I used Pinkfresh Studio Walk by Faith 4)colour your flowers with alcohol markers. I used copics – g000, g02, y11, y15, r81,…

You are Turtley Awesome
Hi friends, I just received this cute turtle stamp from heffy doodle and had to play with it straight away. Firstly I found this fab stamp by Mama Elephant called modern borders, it may be retired now, and thought the scallop would make a great looking sea. I used my tim holtz stamping platform to help stamp my ‘sea’ with Altenew inks in shades of blue. Next I stamped my turtle with memento tuxedo black ink which is Copic friendly, fussy cut it and did some quick and easy colouring. Then I trimmed down my scallop panel and used my tim holtz knife to create little flaps around the waves…
