Hiya! Can you believe it’s August?? This months theme at The Flower Challenge is to use your favourite flower. This is a difficult one for me as I love all flower but especially roses and peonies. I thought this floral stamp by clearly besotted is so beautiful and fits the bill perfectly. My card background features the falling leaf stencil by clearly besotted using distress oxide inks and paint splatters. I coloured my flowers with a mix of oxide inks and spectrum noir water reactive inks. The sentiment is also clearly besotted – I always need loads of Anniversary cards. I hope you can join us, check out the other…

We will weather this storm together
Hiya I stepped outside of my comfort zone with today’s card. I coloured the delightful honey bee stamp girl and her teddy bear a few weeks ago with copic markers and then I remembered a Clearly Besotted fall flurry stencil. I used distress oxide inks – red barn, ripe persimmon and mustard seed to create my background. I used moonstone glimmer paste through the stencil. Once dry I added vellum and white card clouds along the top of the panel. The sentiments are also from the same Honey Bee set called seasonal sweeties. I am entering this card into the following challenges: Addicted to stamps and more 342 – make…

Gold Heat Embossing with Simon Says Stamp
Hi friends. Sorry for the radio silence, I am currently battling illness. I have antibiotics so all should be better soon. The month has flown by and it’s now reminder time at The Flower Challenge: Monochrome. So either black, white, grey or one colour or shades of one colour. For this card I have gone for gold with white and vellum. Lots of heat embossing of Simon Says Stamp products using their Folk dance stencil for the background with images, dies and sentiment from their lovely spring set. Some white nuvo drops were added for accents. I hope you like the card and will join us at The Flower Challenge.

June Reminder @ The Flower Challenge
Hello friends Its reminder time at The Flower Challenge For my entry this time I chose #12 Tic-Tac-Toe and the column blue/CAS/sentiment For my card I took some aqua paper and lightly pounced some hero arts unicorn white pigment ink through a Winnie and Walter leaf stencil for a subtle background. Next I stamped my clearly besotted poppies and stems in ranger archival black ink and Altenew blue ink, and cut them out. I assembled all the pieces on a UK A6 side folding white card base with a Happy Anniversary sentiment created on my printer. I added some glossy accents to the flowers and some black enamel dots for…

Ink smooshing baby card with Winnie and Walter
Hey my lovely peeps! Would you like a sneak peek of today’s colourful baby card? Isn’t it bright and fun? I had such a great time with this background. I tried a new technique (to me) and am surprised it kind of (?) worked. I downloaded a digital file from Winnie and Walter called Mini Scenery:multi-faceted elements and cut it out of acetate with my silhouette cameo so that I had a stencil. I then ink smooshed distress inks – mustard seed, wild honey and cracked pistachio – over the stencil. I didn’t add too much water and I think that helped it not bleed to much. Can you see the…
