So… quite a title eh? I uhmed and ahhed about posting this card. I am sure there are many of you that spend ages trying to perfect a card, tweaking it here and there and still it just doesn’t feel, right at the end sometimes.
This card is like that but I spent so much time on it that I thought you know what, maybe there are parts that may still inspire someone – even if it’s in a what not to do kind of way, lol. There are also elements I love and bits that I just don’t feel work. Maybe it will grow on me – would love your opinion. Should I point out why I think it goes in the fail pile?
So first of all, my black cardstock just doesn’t seem to hold up under the weight of a few layers – running off to order new cardstock asap.
And… I think in the photo especially the pink sequin is the wrong shade, ugh. It has an iridescence and changes in the light so actually looks quite lovely in person, honest.
Plus in hindsight I think the flowers at the top are just too big.
I did do the watercolour stripes myself and quite like the uneven effect they give as a contrast to the flowers.
What do you think?
I made this card with the Winnie and Walter challenges in mind so I’m going to enter it anyway:
Winnie and Walter Mood Board with Heather P – I used the pink and the black and white strips along with the flowers as inspiration.
Winnie and Walter Off the Page with Keren
Winnie and Walter Three Challenge with Shay – I added three flowers and three sets of leaves
