This month the August challenge at Altenew is to be inspired by this flamingo picture:
I don’t have any flamingo or bird stamps so I chose to be inspired by the colours and used the gorgeous painted flowers stamp set to create the following card.
It was my first time trying inlaid diecutting and I found it much harder than I expected. I used fun foam for dimension but it was so squishy that it was hard to line up perfectly.
I made a few cards to practice the technique and I will show these over the next few days.
Would love to know what you think, I really appreciate your comments.
I am also entering this into the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge Make for the border ( I stamped my images like a border down one side)
And Daring Card Makers – use raspberry and lime

Your card is absolutely beautiful, spattering the background was the perfect choice, love it!

It’s beautiful. There’s so much I really like about your card: the gorgeous flowers, the sentiment, the splatters … thanks so much for sharing it with the Daring Cardmakers this week.
