Hi friends,
For the May 2019 Flower Challenge we have the challenge of Heat or Dry Embossing on your cards.
If you join in you also have the chance of winning a stamp set from Altenew.

For my card I used the Altenew leafy frame, die cut and layered a number of times from white cardstock for dimension. I added this to an ink blended background using Victorian velvet and worn lipstick distress inks. For the central panel I gold heat embossed the floral from Altenew Golden Garden and coloured it with Spectrum Noir Aquatint markers. The sentiment is from Altenew Love Labels.

I hope you will also check out the rest of the design teams inspiration for you and look forward to seeing what you create.

This is such a beautiful and lovely card, Rachel! The antique rose/coral color of the background and the main flower is one of my favorite colors! Love the loose coloring on the central panel!

Oh Rachel, I have this stamp set and I don’t use it as much as I should, but you just inspired me to get it out again and create something with it.
I love the beautiful rose color you used on your flower, the sponged background is simply spectacular, beautifully done.
Love the layers on the leafy frame, what a great idea to make it a bit thicker.
Hugs.

I never think to use Victorian Velvet but it such a beautiful color on your card, Rachel. The flower is lovely embossed gold and colored with the markers.
