Rainbow ink blending with Winnie and Walter

    March 4, 2019

Hey, hope your having a good week. Here is a bold and bright card for you. My card today features distress oxide ink blending to create a rainbow background using Winnie and Walters madison stencil. Colours used: broken China, crushed olive, mustard seed, ripe persimmon, dusty concord. I love how the colours mix to give you even more variation. I die cut the panel with a W&W scalloped rectangle die from Audrey’s cutaways. Next I die cut their big words: home die in black and twice in white and adhered together. The home word is covered in Nuvo moonstone glimmer paste. I added a bird from Pinkfresh Studio coloured in rainbow…

Trio of Hello Cards | Winnie and Walter

    February 22, 2019

Hiya I have never created duplicate cards before but the current Winnie and Walter Challenge with Heather to create a set of cards pushes me out my comfort zone. I used my Misti and leaf images from Addies Garden to create three identical backgrounds. I then coloured them all messily with peerless watercolours. Next I die cut the Winnie and Walter big hello die from black and white cardstock and stacked them for dimension. The little sentiments where from Simon Says Stamp You + Me. Hope you like them! I am also entering this into the following challenges: Layering die cuts with Jessica

Winnie and Walter | rainbow blooms

    February 18, 2019

Hiya Here’s another card for the ongoing Winnie and Walter challenges to celebrate 5 years. Rosali has been encouraging us all month to try different methods of masking. This one is very simple, I took a flower from Addies Garden stamp set and stamped and masked it five times across my watercolour card front. Next I used distress oxide and distress inks to watercolour my background. I coloured the flower centres with zigs in matching colours and added some Lucy’s jewels. The panel is on a side folding A6 card base. I am entering this into: Five Challenge with Shay (five flowers and five distress inks used) Rosali week 3:…

Winnie and Walter | Sending you lots of love

    February 18, 2019

Hello Winnie and Walter are celebrating five years! Whoop, what a great achievement. To celebrate they have a series of challenges. This card was made with Kelly’s Challenge in mind – to use at least three different W&W stamp sets. Now you’ll have to bear with me on the story behind this, lol. I only have three W&W stamp sets so I really had to think outside the box. So the cute bear is at a funfair and sees the cutest pink balloon that he knows his friend would love so he plays the stall to win it for her. Hee hee. I created the background with a W&W digital…

    W&W WCMD leaf shaker card

    October 8, 2018

Hi Sorry for the multiple blog posts today, that I was feeling inspired. Here is my final card for the current Winnie and Walter world card making day challenges. I used the three distress oxide inks pictured along with a leaf stencil by W&W to create my background piece with I then die cut with their large hello die. I added foam tape and acetate along with glitter beads to create a shaker card. I also used the stencil and versamark ink to create some leaf shapes that I gold heat embossed and cut out for some extra depth and interest on the card. Finally I added white gel pen…
