Hi friends.
Can you believe we are in July already? And it’s time for a new challenge at The Flower Challenge: Monochrome. So either black,
white, grey or one colour or shades of one colour.
For my card I have used the Simon Says Stamp set Kind Flowers and I stamped the images in memento tuxedo black ink. After cutting them out with my scan n cut I added a little definition to some areas with copics C1 and C5 for a little bit of depth, it’s hardly noticeable but I liked the extra detail.
I splattered some black paint over some white Neenah cardstock and stamped my sentiment in texedo black ink using my mini Misti. The sentiment is also from the Kind Flowers stamp set by Simon Says Stamp. I added a strip of black cardstock to the left of my panel and then arranged all my flowers and leaves.
I love the striking black and white effect, I will definitely be making more cards like this. A load of sparkling clear sequins by pretty pink posh finish of this card perfectly.
I hope you love it as much as I do 😍 and that you will join us this month – you have til the 25th to play along.

Beautiful and elegant flower arrangement Rachel, love how the perfectly stamped flowers stand out on your design, the subtle shading you added to them is a lovely detail and the sequences add just the right amount of bling to your card.
The sentiment fits beautifully in the space.
Hugs.

Those sketchy flowers are perfect in the black and white theme, Rachel. Very dramatic.
