It’s another sss Wednesday challenge and this week it’s Anything Goes.
I really tried to push myself out my comfort zone with this card – no flowers and using dies, trying to create a ‘scene’. It was grey and raining here, we have had no sign of summer so I was sat wishing I had a warm log fire to sit in front of and this inspired my autumn (fall) feeling card with the red and orange colours. I used the lovely stamp and die set by Simon says stamp called Make A Home and behind that is the birch background set by clearly besotted stamped in weathered wood distress ink. I used distress inks to add colour to my house and mail box and then covered these with a wink of Stella. I was also able to use my new mini Misti tool – it was fab for doing the bitch background because I was able to keep layering ink until I was happy with the coverage – I can see I will save loads of money not having to buy ink refills so often, much less wasted stamping. The sentiment is by neat and tangled. Here is my finished entry.
