Hey everyone, hope you’re having a great day. After a busy day window cleaning I was thrilled to get an hour while Harvey napped to play with my neat and tangled Scandinavian print set again. Neat and Tangled have a challenge this month of embossing so I wanted to play along with that.
I don’t know about you but I tend to always go for a white card base almost without thought. I saw a fab card the other day by Kimberly Crawford which featured gold embossing on black cardstock so I had to have a go.
I love the effect!
I heat embossed images onto a stitched rectangle base, water coloured the centres with pearlescent gold, copper and silver paint from my Zig Kuretake Gansai Tambi 36 COLOR SET” target=”_blank”>kuretake gansai tambi watercolours and added some ink splatters. While that dried I gold embossed the sentiment and used 3D black foam squares to adhere the sentiment and gold embroidery thread to the base. I stuck my panel down to the base and added a white insert to the inside of the card. That’s it.

Please let me know what you think, I love to hear from you.

Love love love this! Especially the centres, would never have guessed they were water coloured, they look so unusual ❤️
