Hi everyone.
For today’s card I am once again trying to stretch my ‘creative muscles’ and try something a bit different for me. Keren has challenged us through Winnie and Walter to create cards with an element off the page. I love her inspiration card with the ‘floating stars’ so I tried to put my own spin on the same idea. What do you think?
I think the bear sat on the moon is so cute, but I really need to practice with my zigs more, I find it so difficult to get light colour. For one of my previous baby cards I dusted off my silhouette cameo, downloaded the Winnie and Walter scenery: Big Bang confetti cut files and cut out one of the designs on acetate to use as a stencil. I used this Stencil again with distress inks to create the background.
I incorporated lots of techniques – die cutting, stencilling, ink blending, watercolour, fussy cutting etc. The images and sentiments are by Winnie and Walter – welcome to the Family.
I made the moon using stitched circle dies – it’s a great way to stretch your supplies. You can’t really see in the photos but I also added clear wink of Stella to the cute critters for some added shimmer. The gold stars are suspended on some stainless steel jewellery wire I have called Tiger Tail, its rigid enough to stay up but lovely and thin too.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:
Winnie and Walter Off the Page challenge
Winnie and Walter Stencil challenge – I used a star stencil that I created on my silhouette cameo
Winnie and Walter three Challenge – I used three ‘floating’ gold stars
